The developer of Downtown Superior (Superior Town Center) is required to improve the new intersection of Main Street and McCaslin Blvd. by building a roundabout. The new roundabout will be four lanes (two lanes in each direction) and is currently under construction.  The developer is managing the project and hired Hall-Irwin Construction to build the roundabout. This roundabout will provide the main entrance to Downtown Superior and the new Sport Stable at Superior.
To facilitate construction without impacting traffic on McCaslin, temporary bypass roads were built around the work site.  Construction continues this month with the installation of road base and concrete curb & gutter. A number of utility conflicts and relocates along with weather issues caused several weeks of delay this winter.  The utility conflicts have been resolved and concrete paving will occur through the end of April.  Once the concrete work on McCaslin is done, the temporary bypass roads need to be removed and the connection to Main Street constructed.  The Main Street leg and full roundabout operations should be ready by the end of May.   Please observe the reduced speed limit of 25 mph through the work zone.
Thank you for your patience.
