Due to an increasing level of COVID infections and related hospitalizations, Boulder County will be moving to the State’s newly-defined LEVEL RED public health status at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2020.  While this is not the same as the “Stay at Home” restrictions we experienced earlier in 2020, the restrictions are a step up from where we’ve been in recent weeks.

The updated public health order can be found HERE.

LEVEL RED updated restrictions include:

  • Indoor dining is temporarily closed. Restaurants and coffee shops can still offer takeout and delivery, and they can offer outdoor dining with last call at 8:00 p.m., but only to customers in groups with members of their own household. Bars remain closed.
  • Gyms can operate at 10% capacity or allow up to 10 people per room with reservations. They can also operate outdoors in groups of up to 10 people.
  • Group Sports and Camps can operate virtual, or outdoors in groups less than 10.
  • In-person personal gatherings are not permitted.
  • All gatherings between households of any size in any location, public or private should not be taking place.
  • Offices can operate at 10% capacity, but remote work is strongly encouraged.
  • Non-Critical Manufacturing can operate at 25% or 50 people, whichever is fewer.
  • All at-risk populations are recommended to stay at home.
  • Limited Healthcare and Personal Services continue to operate at 25% or 25 individuals (whichever is fewer).
  • Critical and Non Critical Retail can operate at 50% capacity with increased curbside pickup and delivery.  Dedicated senior and at-risk hours encouraged.
  • Indoor Unseated and Seated Events / Entertainment are closed
  • Outdoor Unseated and Seated Events limited to 25% or 75 people attended only with members of your own household and 6-feet between groups.
  • Outdoor Guided Services and Entertainment can operate at 25% capacity or 10 people (whichever is fewer).
  • Places of Worship can operate as they did under the Level Orange levels.

Boulder County Public Health and the Boulder Chamber will be hosting several sessions to help business owners and managers understand how the new public health restrictions impact specific industries. We recommend you RSVP and attend the session to be held this Friday, 11/20/20, at 11:00 am. RSVP here.
