Art therapy is an evidence-based type of therapy that can help the brain process and reformat traumatic memories and imagery. Those that participate find it helpful for dealing with the stress and anxiety related to a traumatic experience. The program has been developed to help residents in both towns process the trauma related to the Marshall Fire.

The trauma associated with the Marshall Fire is extensive and looks different in everyone. Due to the complicated nature of these emotions, the sessions will be divided into two groups to best help individuals process their traumatic experiences.
